DFC Members started Thursday morning just after 1000hrs by being dispatched for a 2nd Alarm Fire in Harrisburg City Box 1-3 for a house fire 1800blk of Susquehanna St. The Truck responded w/3, and arrived as the third due truck, sending manpower to assist with fire ground tasks. The Truck remained on scene for roughly 2hrs before being released by command. Around 1415hrs, the Tanker was dispatched for an Electrical Fire in the 12-03 Box (Shermansdale). Chief 12 held mutual aid in quarters while his company investigated. Shortly after being released, the Squad was requested for a Transfer to Cumberland County Co20's Station (Northeast Fire and Rescue) while crews operated on a first due Garage Fire. While the Squad was transferred, they handled 1 call for an Elevator Alarm. Shortly after returning from the Transfer, the Squad, Truck, Tanker, Engine, and Chief responded to 70 Elijah Ave for a reported mobile home fire. Crews arrived finding a smoke condition inside, and traced the source to a broken water pipe that caused a small electrical fire. The box was held to Company 2, and crews secured power to the residence before going available. The Crews finished off the evening with a lift assist around 1900hrs. The Utility and Chief responded and assisted EMS with lifting. |
