August 1, 2026

Just before 2100hours,

Perry County Communications sent the 1st alarm to the Pilot Travel Center for a tractor trailer fire endangering a building. Chief 2-2 arrived with a fully involved tractor, not endangering the building.

Squad 2 arrived and deployed a 150' 1 3/4" bumper line to start fire attack. Tanker 2 arrived and supplied the Squad, followed by Tanker 9. Crews extinguished the fire, and opened up the trailer to extinguish remaining hotspots. Dauphin Squad 38 was later requested for manpower.

Dauphin County Hazmat also responded, due to a diesel fuel leak.

Units: PC2-2, PS2, PE2, PT2, PUT2

Mutual Aid: DCS38, PT9, HazMat77
